Ciao ragazzi, oggi vi parlo di un posto molto interessante che ho visitato durante la mia permanenza ad Ischia.

Non si tratta di un centro termale che è uno dei motivi per cui Ischia è famosa e che pur essendo molto rilassanti non sono salutari per tutti,ma di acqua sorgente che fa bene davvero a tutti.

Si tratta delle sorgenti di Nitrodi.

Le Acque di Nitrodi sono famose fin dall’età romana. In questo luogo, infatti, esisteva un piccolo santuario dedicato ad Apollo ed alle Ninfe chiamate “Nitrodi” appunto e che erano custodi della Fonte.

Gli ammalati venivano a bagnarsi e a bere l’acqua per giovarsi delle sue eccezionali capacità terapeutiche.

Nel 1759 sono stati rinvenuti dodici rilievi marmorei dedicati alle Ninfe di Nitrodi occupano un arco di tempo che va dal I secolo a.C. al III secolo d.C., durante il quale si vede profilarsi un repertorio di nomi di ogni ceto sociale. Fra le prime donne guarite troviamo Argenna, liberta di Poppea Augusta,la quale,per voto fatto ad Apollo e alle Ninfe, lascia in ricordo un rilievo di marmo, appendendolo nel boschetto sacro.

Nel I secolo d.C. giungeva a Nitrodi, proveniente dal Nord Italia, il medico Menippo “Menippos iatròs upalpinos”. Più tardi, insieme agli assistenti e agli alunni,giungevano alla sorgente di Nitrodi altri due medici: “Aur(elius) Monnus” e “Num(erius) Fabius” (Cit.storica di Don Pietro Monti).Antichissima la tradizione curativa risalente, addirittura, al periodo Greco dell’isola d’Ischia (VIII sec.a.C.) come attesta il suo stesso nome.Le Ninfe Nitrodi,a cui la Fonte era dedicata,sono ricordate in tutti i testi classici greco-latini,da Omero in poi.

La Fonte delle Ninfe di Nitrodi racchiude in sé, concentrati in uno spazio di rara armonia e grande bellezza, tutti questi elementi per cui il soggiorno nel Parco regala piacere all’organismo ed allo spirito e offre al tempo stesso la possibilità di giovarsi delle capacità terapeutiche scientificamente riconosciute e note da oltre due millenni delle Acque termali che sgorgano direttamente dalla profondità della roccia.

In particolare, soprattutto la segreta natura dei fluidi aromatici combattono lo stress e la depressione, cefalee ed insonnia, artrite, crampi e problemi della pelle. Molti oli essenziali hanno proprietà disinfettanti ed espettoranti, attivi contro infezioni virali,batteriche e micotiche.Tutto questo a Nitrodi è reso possibile in un luogo magico dalle straordinarie sintonie ambientali dove la vita scorre come l’acqua della sorgente.

Il Parco della Fonte di Nitrodi è organizzato con un percorso aromaterapico,che consente,attraverso il contatto diretto con le piante aromatiche ed officinali, di potenziare gli effetti dell’Acqua.

All’interno del parco c’è un centro benessere per chi vuole sostare per un massaggio o per cure specifiche della pelle.Inoltre  al chioschetto si possono degustare ottimi panini integrali e infusi a base di erbe e miele freddi o caldi buonissimi…io ho bevuto l’infuso di Venere…ve lo consiglio!

Hello guys, today I speak of a very interesting place that I visited during my stay in Ischia.

It is not thermal water which is one of the reasons that made famous Ischia but that is not healthy for everyone, but spring water which is good really at all.

It is the source of Nitrodi.

The waters of Nitrodi have been known since Roman times. In this place existed a small sanctuary, dedicated to the God of Apollo and to the Nymphs of Nitrodi who were the caretakers of the Spring. Sick people came here to bathe themselves and to drink the water and take advantage of its special therapeutic properties.

There is an extraordinary historical and archaeological documentation of votive offering slabs, which date back to Roman times (these days kept in the Archaeological Museum of Naples), donated as offerings to the Nymphs that guarded the Spring of Nitrodi and to the Greek God of Apollo.

In 1759 some local farmers digging holes for their vineyards, discovered a series of marble votive slabs, an important discovery for the island of Ischia and now kept in Naples National Museum. The 12 ‘relief’ slabs, dedicated to the Nymphs of Nitrodi are dated from the 1st century B.C to the 3rd century A.D. A long list of various social classes are associated with these votive slabs. One of the first women to be healed was Argenna – associated with Poppea Augusta, who as a vow to the God of Apollo, left in gratitude a votive slab, hanging it in a little sacred wood near to the Spring.

In the 1st century A.D, the physician Menippo “Menippos iatròs upalpinos” arrives in Nitrodi from northern Italy. Sometime later, two doctors “Aur(elius) Monnus” and “Num(erius) Fabius” arrive at the Spring of Nitrodi, together with their scholars and assistants (Historical quotation by Don Pietro Monti). It is very ancient the healing tradition of the Spring, dating back to the Greek period of the island of Ischia (8th century B.C) and interestingly, the Nymphs of Nitrodi are mentioned in all the classic Greek and Latin texts. The waters of Nitrodi have been shown to be most effective in the cure of dermatitis and for almost all skin pathologies (eczema, acne, neuro-dermatitis). Through contact with the skin, it is particularly effective in treating ulcerous manifestations of varicose veins, as it has positive effects on the nutritional processes of the tissues with which it comes into contact with. That is why the waters of Nitrodi are recommended for the therapy of sores,fistulas,pimples,burns and ulcerous wounds.

Aromatherapy and Phytotherapy (Plant therapy) have been shown to be relevant in fighting and preventing several pathologies of the respiratory system and of the metabolism.In particular, it is above all the secret nature of the aromatic fluids that helps fight stress and depression,headaches and insomnia,arthritis,cramps and skin problems.Many essential oils have disinfectant and expectorant properties and they are active against viral, bacterial and fungal infections. All this is made possible in Nitrodi,a magical place of extraordinary attunement with the environment, where life flows like the water of the spring.

It is advised after showering to dry oneself in the heat of the sun, in a way improving its effectiveness. It is by drinking the water that a diuretic,digestive and detoxing effect takes place, that also benefits the gastric system. In the park there is a spa where you can have a massage or treatment for the skin.There is also a kiosk where you can enjoy sandwiches with wholegrain flour and drinking herbal and honey infusions.Delicious,I drank the infusion of Venus,I recommend it.
